ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Sophie! I grew up in the Bay Area of California, about 45 minutes south of San Francisco. I have been immersed in the world of performance from a young age. I was first hooked on theatre in second grade when I proudly took on the titular role in "Spiderella” (yes, it was an insect parody of Cinderella), igniting a lifelong passion for singing and performing. As a soprano, I specialize in the Golden Age style of musical theatre, but my versatility allows me to explore a diverse range of genres, from classical arias to contemporary pop tunes.

I am known for my kind, bubbly, and outgoing nature, making me easy to work with and a strong communicator. I thrive on building connections and friendships, ensuring a positive collaborative environment. Always eager to improve, I continuously seek opportunities to learn and grow in my craft.

As a senior in NYU Steinhardt's vocal performance program, concentrating in musical theatre, I am dedicated to honing my craft and expanding my artistic abilities. My training has equipped me with the skills necessary to excel in various performance settings, and I am passionate about bringing characters to life through song and storytelling.

Outside of singing, I enjoy expressing my creativity through various craft projects. I always have a coloring book on me and I have recently gotten into bead embroidery. I love hiking and taking my two sweet dogs to the beach. Additionally, I am an avid pickleball player. My mom introduced me and now I am hooked (I am serious about racket sports). With passion and dedication at the forefront of everything I do, I strive to go above and beyond in all my endeavors.
